A Shower & A Sickness

Last weekend, some amazing ladies blessed me with a baby shower for our new daughter.

From delicious food...

adorable and thoughtful decorations...

wonderful gifts,

... and precious friends, they truly thought of everything and made it such a sweet celebration of our girl.

We were also blessed to receive a couple of packages this week - one from a sweet faith family back in AL and another from my aunt! M was most excited by the Hot Wheels in the first and the new book in the second!

M loves FaceTiming with family, but because of the time difference, sometimes when he wants to "call somebody," none of our AL family members are awake! So one day this week, Daddy went in the other room and we just called him instead!

This week, Kenny used the fudge ingredients sent by GGMA to make some really great fudge! He even let M and I help a little. Whew, recipes that require such specific timing and fast action stress me out, but the fudge turned out great! Thanks, GG!

Love playing trains together! And really love the imagination of a boy who can transform a cloth bin into an engine shed for the trains to sleep in!

We also had some fun with finger paint...

But this past week, M came down with a fever, and hasn't really felt like playing at all! After a couple of days of that, he began complaining when drinking that "water hurts," pointing to his throat. He has been a pretty sick little guy since this past Tuesday.

We went to the doctor, who suspected strep and gave us antibiotics. The fever is gone now, but it has been replaced by a very hoarse (yet adorable) voice, a deep cough, and a runny nose. We are praying that he will be better SOON so that we will all be well and ready to welcome baby sister whenever she decides to arrive. Her due date is just two weeks & two days away!

Until then, I'm trying to enjoy every minute with this little guy before he becomes a big brother. :)
