Another milestone!

Friday night we dropped little M off with Nana and Pa. He was fired up and ready to play, but he did manage to give us hugs and a "Luh you!" before we left. We sure are going to miss our buddy.

We headed home to finish packing. We (ok, mostly me) were excited to use one of our new rolling duffels and our packing cubes on the trip. The cubes are definitely just a fun extra, but I think they may help this not-so-organized mama as I get used to our newly nomadic lifestyle. :)

Then early, early, early on Saturday morning, K and I set out for our week of meetings in Las Vegas.
We had a four hour layover in Chicago. Our carry on bag made for a pretty good foot prop!

I actually enjoyed the layover and used my time to finish up some recent family videos.

We also facetimed with Malachi. It was so good to see his sweet face and hear him saying "Up! Up!" while reaching out his arms to us. We had so much fun being silly with him and did not care one bit who saw or heard.

On our last flight we saw some beautiful sights from the air... From snowy farmland to the dry, dust desert. Again we were reminded of God's majesty and creativity!

During our travels, we said to each other several times that this is going to be an entirely different ball game once M is along. Already praying for smooth, safe travels (and patient fellow passengers!) along our way.

Nana has done a great job of keeping us updated with photos of M while we have been gone!

We have enjoyed our time here so far. We have already learned so much and met some really great people. This week is another major milestone in our journey and we look forward to seeing what else is in store!
