Our week out West was busy, busy, busy! Our days were filled with informative meetings. We also had the joy of meeting and getting to know many like-minded people. We were blessed by the amazing hospitality and generosity of some f. families in that city.
And in between all that, we even had the opportunity to get out and explore a little.
It was so good to see this little face on FaceTime every day!
It was a great week, and I am thankful we had that time just the two of us to prepare for all the transitions ahead. But as glad as I am to have gone, it was oh so good to come home and get a real hug from little M! A big thank you goes out to his Nana, Pa, Mimi and "Da-ee" for keeping him while we were gone. Even though they all insist that it is they who should be thanking us, it was such a comfort to know he was in caring and capable hands!
Now that we are back home, it's time to begin working out way down our ever-growing to-do list! The very next day, we sent off our passports for renewal and took little M to apply for his very first. He had just woken up when it was time for his photo, so it turned out more like a mug shot. As you can see, he was still a little grumpy when we went to the courthouse.
