The Countdown Continues!

Time continues to fly for our family. We're now less than a week and a half out from the day we will leave for training.

These are busy, busy days for us. We're packing, getting ready for a yard sale (hopefully next weekend), researching and buying luggage (plus a few other items we'd like to take with us), and trying to soak up every moment with family and friends that we possibly can.

K and I both also have grandfathers who are very sick. K's Grandpa Bobby has cancer throughout his body, and my Granddaddy Smith is back in the hospital and not doing too well at the moment. We don't know what the future holds for our families, but we trust in the infinite wisdom of the One who does.

Despite all that's going on, it's important to me to continue trying to carve out time from this crazy season of life to record slices of our life as a family for us to look back on.

So here goes! I hope you enjoy these photos and memories from the past several days.

This past Saturday, we spent some time with Grandpa Bobby and Grandma Irene. K's uncle was also visiting, so it was great to see him as well. M spent most of his time hanging out with his Pa.

"Upside down, right side up!" is their new game. M of course finds it hilarious!

I am so thankful for all our precious friends at ch.! M and MG always have a lot of fun.

"Cheese, Ta-Ty!"

One night, we all had spaghetti at Grandmother's house. I always love to see how much fun M has with his four cousins! I am amazed to watch how he interacts with and learns from other children.

Sweet cousin hugs! Love both these adorable boys.

Wednesday morning, we took M to a fun inflatable play place in Boaz. He absolutely loved it! He was so brave and didn't think twice about sliding all by himself.

His favorite part was an inflatable basketball toss. The yellow cones had a strong rush of air coming out, so that when the kids held the balls on top of them, the balls were flung toward the nets. M made friends with the cute little boy in the photos and video below.

After selling our two big strollers at a consignment sale last week, I set out to look for a more lightweight, travel-friendy stroller. M was fired up about his new ride and cried when it was time to get out!

Easter photos & stories coming soon!
