Our Big News! (And More from Week 7 in Canada)

This is a boy who is not afraid to explore...

A boy who gives the very best hugs...

A boy who is already brimming with questions... and opinions...

A boy who loves "ice fream," "tandy," and all things sweet...

& a boy who loves to sit and turn the pages of a well-loved book.

This is a boy who is going to be a very special big brother!

All three of us are overjoyed to announce that a fourth little family member is officially on his or her way... and should arrive around April 2, 2014!

This week, K and M came along to the first ultrasound. M was very excited to see a picture of the "baby in Mommy's belly" and even watch its sweet heart beating, but he cried when we started to leave. "Where's our baby?" He couldn't understand why we had sat and waited in the clinic all that time and still didn't have a baby! :) Otherwise, he is very excited about being a big brother and asks "I hold it?" at least once a day. 

We are blessed beyond measure and are so excited about beginning this next chapter of our journey as a family!

In other (not-quite-as-exciting) news from the week...

We visited a petting zoo this weekend. He was happy to watch the animals but other than his lightning-fast touch to the back of a baby goat, he was SO not interested in touching them. 

We also went out to an Indian restaurant. And much to M's delight, we RODE IN A CAR! When he first found out that we were going, he was dancing with excitement. "I ride in car? Be 'cited!!! They have carseat? Be 'cited!!! Buckles on it? Be 'cited!!!" It really does not take much to make his day.

At the restaurant, we tried gulab jamun, a popular Indian sweet. Imagine a very dense donut hole soaked in very sweet syrup. It was too sweet for K and I, and even M only took a bite at a time before returning it to what he fondly called his "special box."

"It's like a Timbit!" he announced this morning while finishing it up. (Timbits are donut holes from Tim Horton's, a popular coffee and donut place here in Canada.)
