Nana & Pa Come for a Visit! {Canada: Week 8}

This Wednesday, M woke up from his nap to find two very special visitors - his Nana and Pa! It took him a few minutes to fully wake up and realize what was going on, but once he did, he was very excited.

Here he is asking Nana all about riding on an airplane, Skytrain, and bus.

He had fun opening two brand new trains!

Then of course he and Nana had to FaceTime with GGMa so that he could thank her for the one from her.

The next morning, they came over bright and early to play with M while we were in class. They read books, built train tracks... and sometimes did both at the same time!

Next, M spent the afternoon and night at their hotel, while K and I enjoyed a date!

They had fun...

... and so did we! We had dinner at a really nice place right on the water. Our steaks were delicious (which was great since they are probably the last we'll have in quite a while!), and the view was beautiful. We waited for a seat by the window, which was extra nice because we could watch the seaplanes taking off and landing just outside. But the best part was just having some special time with just the two of us!

The next day, we all went biking along the seawall at Stanley Park! It was a cloudy day, but the views were still beautiful! And the best part was that none of us crashed!

Can you tell how excited Pa was about having to wear a helmet?

Of course we had to stop for some pictures along the way...

And some playground time!

As we were finishing up, K and M drove right through a big puddle... but M did not seem to mind!

Then we headed to the train at Stanley Park. It was so cute & M loved it.

The next day, we visited the Capilano Suspension Bridge... a beautiful park that features a super long suspension bridge over a river and lots of other neat features.

To get there, we first took a Seabus, which is a ferry that travels from Vancouver to Lonsdale Quay.

After lunch and a few pictures from the top of "Q" at Lonsdale Quay, we caught another bus to go to the suspension bridge.

K & M's serious faces...

...And smiles!

There were many areas where we weren't allowed to push the stroller, so little M did LOTS of walking! He would say "Let's just teep going" any time we tried to stop him for a picture. He loves to be on the move!

He found a tiny pinecone and announced that he was going to "feed it to the birds." Where does he come up with this stuff??

By this point, M was just happy to work on the buckle on my backpack as I carried him. :)

M was so very tired on the ride home and finally fell asleep on the train!

Today we are all resting up and hanging out near our apartment. We are looking forward to one more day out and about tomorrow before Nana and Pa head back to "Abamma." We are all so thankful for the blessing of this time with them!

{P.S. Sorry for soooo many pictures, but it is hard to fit several very busy days into one blog post!}
